I Got my Car!!!!

I shipped my car from Hawaii before I left. I have been driving my mom's suburban since I have been here. It is a very nice suv but to me it's like driving a big boat. Not use to that! It's always nice to have your own wheels. It's a sense of freedom for me. I picked up my car today around 3pm. It made it here in one piece. Very grateful for that. I love my car and I am glad it is here!

Christmas Day 2007

Merry Christmas to everybody! I can say it came and went kinda of fast. I was able to spend Christmas with my family this year. I haven't been home for This day since 2002! It was bitter sweet because on the one hand I was able to spend it with my family and on the other my husband wasn't here. I really missed him!!!! He was able to call me Christmas eve and this morning. I am very grateful for that. He is doing OK. He is just really sick right now. The sad part is I can't say this is the first Christmas with out him and it won't be the last. Kate was able to talk to him this morning and told him Santa came over last night. Santa (my dad) made a special trip last night and delivered presents to Kate. Kate was a little shy at first but came around at the end. I was so excited I was able to take a picture of her with him. The last time I got one was when she was 4 months old. The big surprise for Kate was that he made yet another stop at our house this morning and brought more presents. She actually hugged him goodbye. That was awesome. We had what I called a Tex Mex dinner. We had turkey, stuffing and ham.(tex side) Tamales and Jalapenos made the mex side. It was delicious. My mom went out the window with dinner this year. I can say this Christmas was better than the first one I spent with out my husband! Now we are just waiting to bring in the new year! Everyday that goes by is a day closer to my husband getting home... Maybe we won't be with out him next year. Here is a pic of Kate with Santa!

It's been 2 weeks!

Well I really started my blog a week after my husband left. But today makes 2 weeks since he left. For some 2 weeks might not seem like nothing but to a military wife it means a lot! I will say I am very proud of myself for taking it better this time than the last.(Thanks to my friends and family.) Don't get me wrong it is still hard. I do find myself sometimes through out the day thinking about him with tears in my eyes. 15 months!!!!!!! Although we are all hoping for 12!!!! He called me Tuesday morning and is doing fine. He is alittle tired but fine. And that has pretty much been the only phone call since last Wednesday. Although we have been communicating via myspace it's not the same. I love to hear his voice as often as possible. He is still in Kuwait and will be in Iraq soon. Life hear in Texas is good. I am very busy with Kate trying to make up for lost time. I can't believe it will be a week tomorrow when I arrived. I will say being here is making time fly.

I'm In Texas

Well I made it to Texas on Friday the 14th. Jamie and Jessica helped me on my last day in Hawaii. Jamie let me stay at her house and Jessica gave me and Junior a ride to the airport. The flight was Ok. I guess it was just the anticipation of seeing my little one that made it way to long. I finally got to hold her in my arms again for the first time in 2 months. She is so big and thick. She is a completely different little girl. She is polite and doesn't fuss as much as she use to. Staying with my mom really made a difference. I will say I am a little bit sad leaving loved ones in Hawaii. I can say that I can't wait to see them again. I have been in Hawaii for four years and these last 9 months were the best ones ever. Thanks you guys! I will say also that I am happy to be home for a while. Time here is flying. I am keeping busy and waiting for my car to arrive. Luckily for me I did most of my Christmas shopping in Hawaii. I am pretty much set. By the way Junior is doing fine. He is just trying to adjust to the new smells around here. But overall we are all doing ok. I am very greatful to be with my daughter again. There is no place like home

Welcome to my blog

Welcome to my blog everybody. You can thank Jamie for me doing this. Tonight is my last night in Hawaii and Jamie invited me over for dinner for some delicious fajitas. Our last dinner together for a while. I am spending the night at her house tonight since I don't have a bed, Internet, cable or a phone. I am very grateful to have a friend like her. I am very grateful for all my friends and I am going to miss everybody very much. Keep checking back to keep up with me during my extended stay in Texas. It's going to be interesting!
