My First Manicure (ever)

I got my first manicure today! I felt like a virgin when I went in the salon! LOL! (yeah right :P) Luckily Jamie had told me what to ask for or I would have been totally lost! I loved it! I love the way my hands look now! I will be doing this more often! HAHAHA!



So I am a little ugh about people touching my feet. I really have to get over that. So I went and bought the kit to do it yourself! Just to try to see what it looks like! I liked it and will be doing my feet next week! LOL!

Backyardigans Live!

Kate, my brother and I went to the Backyardigans Live show today! It was really good. The show was actually pretty funny for adults as well. My brother and I had our few share of laughs! Kate was amazed and enjoyed every minute of it! She was pretty upset during the intermission. The potty break was taking to long! HAHA!! Over all pretty good show. Busy week this week!

Spa Day for Kate!

I had planned for Kate to go to a kid's spa for her birthday on Tuesday! I had to reschedule it for today because of Edouard. I have to say it was awesome! I loved it and so did Kate. It's only for kids up to 16! She was only going in for a manicure & pedicure but they had a special package deal! It inlcuded mani,pedi,facial,hair do, makeup and a massage on hands and feet! We were there for almost 2 hours! I've never been to spa before but my 4 year old daughter has! HAHAHA!


Her hair came out so good they took pics of her to put in their album! They have an album of the things they do and Kate will be in it! YAY!!!!

They started off with the mani and then they did her hair. After they did her pedi and massage. While doing pedi they did her facial and at the end was the makeup! This place was awesome and there will more visits to come!

8 months down baby!!!

7 months to go!!!!! Another bleeping month down of this friggin deployment! I will say July flew by and left just a trail of smoke. Well at least for me it did! I was so busy I am surprised my head wasn't lost in the process! LOL! I am just grateful for another month out of the way and R&R around the corner! We are past the half way marker and it feels great! I hope this month flies by as well! Come on R&R!!!!!




Today was Kate's wellbaby check! Not a baby anymore by all means! My poor Kate got a total of 5 shots today! 4 on one leg and 1 on another! I wasn't in the room because I just couldn't do it. Luckily my mom said she would stay with her and Kate does better with out me anyway! I heard her scream from across the hall. My poor baby!!! She did good today considering the trauma from this morning! She went to camp today and was in bed at 8:30! I just hope my mom is close by for her shots next year!



Taking her blood pressure!! It was actually pretty high for her age!! But she was very nervous from being there. She already knew what she was going for! I tried to coach her for it all week like I did the dentist! My mom even bought her a special present if she did good with the shots!


We never got stuff like this!!! LOL!

Kate's 4th Birthday!

My baby turned 4 today! 4 already!!! Not a baby anymore and she sure doesn't act like one! We had to stay home because of the rain! I bought her a small cake and gave her one present to open. She got a box of goodies from Jamie and coloring stuff from Nana & Grandad! She loved everything. She didn't seem to mind staying home all day! Tomorrow she has her Doctor's appointment for shots! (Not looking forward to that) We shall see how it goes! Her actual birthday party is on the 17Th! Here are some pics!



We were fortunate with Tropical storm Edouard! At the last minute the storm shifted north and we just had some wind and rain!! Nothing major and we had our power the whole time!(yay) We dodged the bullet yet again. At least that is what are the news channels are saying! It wasn't bad but it did prevent us from going anywhere and also her camp for today was canceled!

Here we go again!!!

Another tropical storm in the gulf. Tropical storm Edouard churning in the gulf! This one we are a little concerned about because of it's path. It's expected to come directly towards our area. Landfall expected sometime tomorrow morning. It is also expected to strengthen to a weak category 1 hurricane. I hit the local walmart last night and bought my supplies. Now we just pray for no major damage and just a lot of rain. We do need the rain. The part that upsets me about all this is tomorrow is my daughter's birthday! I guess you can say we will never forget this birthday if anything major happens.(hopefully not) Not that we forget any of our kids birthdays but I guess this one will stand out! LOL! Pray for us and I will keep everyone updated as long as I have power!

August starts with a break! Ouch!

What a way to start this month. I started the day by getting poked in the arm for blood. Which I am usually very good with needles but this actually hurt and the tape the woman put on me was like friggin super glue. I had my mom rip it off because I couldn't! It hurt!!! The day gets better! HAHA!!

I invited my brother to come swimming in the pool at my apartments to relax and get out of this friggin heat! We were having a good time I really wasn't getting in the water because of my hair! I stayed on the steps and relaxed! Well I went to grab Kate's beach ball and thought there was a step beneath me. Well there wasn't !!!! So I went down and went down hard!!! Most of my weight went to the toes and I broke one. I broke the middle toe in the right foot! Very painful! What a wonderful way to end the day! I started off with pain and ended the day with even more pain! LOL! But I am being optimistic this month will be great! Great things happening this month! Kate's Birthday is this Tuesday!!!! Hubby will be leaving Iraq to come home at the end of this month! YAY!!!
So today was just like wake up it's August! Hopefully my toe won't take long to heal! Well what a crazy way to start this month.
